LONDON (AP) — U.S. wrestling coach Zeke Jones was given a yellow card for arguing with officials following Jake Herbert's loss in the quarterfinals on Saturday.

Jones was assessed the warning, which is similar to a yellow cared handed out in soccer, after a challenge thrown by the U.S. resulted in Azerbaijan's Sharif Sharifov being awarded the victory in the second period, 4-1, 6-0.

The Americans believed Hebert should have scored three points because he stopped Sharifov and then threw him.

Jones said that the referees ruled in favor of Sharifov, the defending world champion, while a separate jury ruled it in favor of Herbert.

Jones said he believed a representative from FILA, the sport's governing body, might have influenced the decisions of the referees and jury.
