The National Archives is marking what would have been the 100th birthdays of two former first ladies: Pat Nixon and Lady Bird Johnson.

To commemorate the birthdays of both women, the National Archives is displaying rarely seen photographs and other objects at its location on Constitution Avenue in Washington. Pat Nixon was born March 16, 1912, and died in 1993. Lady Bird Johnson was born Dec. 22, 1912, and died in 2007.

Items on display include an original issue of the high school newspaper Johnson worked on and pages from Nixon's family farm account book.

Some materials on exhibit are from the Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum in Yorba Linda, Calif., and the Lyndon Baines Johnson Presidential Library and Museum in Austin, Texas.
