OLD BRIDGE, N.J. (AP) — Passengers on a commuter bus that crashed into a school bus in central New Jersey are describing the chaotic aftermath.

The Academy bus hit the mini school bus from behind on Route 9 in Old Bridge on Thursday. The school bus was carrying one adult plus the driver. It flipped onto its side on top of a power supply station in front of an apartment complex.

The commuter bus crashed into a tree.

More than a dozen people on the commuter bus were treated at local hospitals. Two were in serious condition.

Passenger John Sherman tells New York television station WABC-TV that "a lot of people were messed up." Another passenger tells News 12 New Jersey that people were crying out and moaning after the crash.
