Today's News Briefs and Commentaries

Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee sounded a bit like he was still on the presidential campaign stump at CPAC Thursday afternoon.

He delivered a tough-talking speech, discussing the need for education reform, nuclear energy development and dismissing universal health care where "some computer here in Washington will decide what treatment you can have."

And, he gave a nod to his down-home roots.

"I'm not a Republican because I grew up rich," Huckabee said. "I'm a Republican because I grew up poor and didn't want to wait for the government to rescue me."

The normally optimistic Huckabee ended his speech with an unusually dire note though.

"Let's change this country because if we don't there may not be another generation left to get the job done," he said  before walking off stage.

But he is so negative
Huck in 2016. Let Palin or Jindal peter out in 2012. No one will beat Obama.

Romney to the Forefront
We need the expertise of a man who is proven with the economy, business, and does not stab people in the back, and loves America.....A honorable role model....Without the baggage of scandal.... Someone we can relate to and look up to and would never disgrace this wonderful country....

Wrong
Chloe, Obama will beat Obama and he's on a fast track to do it, and will as a result sink the
traitor party. There's a backlash a comin' and
it's building right now.
When he signed that baby killing contract on every baby in the world, he shook his fist in God's face..just wait..Be not decieved God is not mocked...he's raised kings up and he's brought them down.

"Be not decieved God is not mocked."

Yeah he is; all the time. I could give you some pointers to web sites if you like.

Obama is going to beat himself
with his arrogance his greed and his stupidity. The man is not fit to run the local animal shelter much less a country. The only thing he knows how to do it grovel for acceptance among those who can further his nefarious career.

Funny
"There's a backlash a comin' and it's building right now."

It's building in your outhouse, I guess. Obama is racking up approval numbers like we haven't seen since Clinton was impeached. And Americans approve his stimulation bill by more than three to one.

You guys had your shot and you blew it, and the country handed you your hat and said, "Exit's over there." Ranting and raving about "communists" just makes you look like the childish sore losers that you are.

When that backlash comes along, be sure and drop us a note so we'll all know, OK?

The COW
Is a One term wonder. Four years, until we're free to fight back against this arrogance and blatant disregard for the Country in favor of paying back the cronies who got him elected. You're all fools and the day of reckoning will come. Sooner than later.

Not Huckabee. Not Romney.
A real conservative. I shall now light my lamp and go around looking for one...

He's Changed??
When did Huckabee become a coservative? His record shows him as being a pro-gun and pro-life. Other than that it's liberal. He has been hostile to free trade, hiked sales and grocery taxes, backed sales taxes on Internet purchases, and presided over state spending going up more than twice the inflation rate.

What he did to Mitt Romney was as low as you could go. We know there are many quirks in his
so-called " Christian " life . Devil's in the details??? We remember !!
Mitt Romney is cat-nip for me ! Candy for the eyes !

White Salamander, sounds like you
just have a problem with religion and anyone who has it. YOU'RE the nut job, lady. (I might have used that term too loosely.)
